I don’t know about you, but I generally fee like there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. Between work, family, and trying to have a social life, I often find a pretty good excuse to skip the gym. I’ve been trying to change all that lately and not leave room for any excuses. We have a great fitness center at The Gael
apartments, so not wanting to drive to the gym is no longer an excuse. I’ve also been sneaking in extra exercises here and there throughout my day.
Here are my favorite ways to sneak a little extra exercise into my day:

I do squats while I brush my teeth. Sounds funny I know, but it’s a simple exercise that you can do while your hands are occupied.
- Anytime I walk up stairs I do a few calf raises on the last stem. Now to be honest I only do that if I’m alone. I feel a little silly doing it in front of people!
- While I’m cooking I’ll do a few counter-top pushups while things simmer or bake. Pushups are a great exercise, but I don’t want to put my hands on the floor while I’m cooking!
Those are just my funny ways of fitting in some exercises to my hectic life. How do you find time for fitness in your life?
